UtopiaSpace Mobile is the employee app for iOS and Android. Staff use it to clock in and out, apply for leave, overtime, and claims, and check payroll-related information. Managers use it to approve requests on the go.
It uses the same Supabase database as the web apps, so a request made on the phone appears on the web and the other way round. The code is in the utopiaspace-mobile repository, and the released app is built from the development branch.
Some steps can only be done in the app. The web apps show the results but cannot start them.

Only employees whose status is active. Pending, resigned, and inactive accounts are signed out with "Your account is not active or authorized. Please contact HR."
Only inactive accounts are blocked. Pending and resigned accounts can sign in.
No signal
Clock-ins and clock-outs are saved on the phone and sent later. See Offline & Sync.
Needs a connection.
Geofence
Shows "Within 100 m radius" or "Outside 100 m radius" with the distance. It never blocks the punch.
Shows the recorded result on attendance records.
Attendance type
Every punch is recorded as normal. Choosing a type in the app is turned off.
A manager can change the type on Attendance Record.
Permissions
Camera and location permission are required to clock in or out.
Not needed.
Profile changes
A staff member's first profile change request sets their status to pending until HR approves it. While pending, the app signs them out on its next start.
Pending staff can still sign in.
Manager Space access
Staff with the manager or director role, plus Utopia Holiday staff in the IT department or the HR Generalist team.
Decided per feature by grants in User Access.
Account deletion
Staff can delete their account from Settings, as the app stores require.
Not available.
Required updates
An old version can be blocked until the staff member updates. See Mobile Build & Release.
